The 2025 CCMA Awards presented by TD took place on September 13, 2025. Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia, played host for the very first time. It was the 43rd annual celebration of Canadian country music. Furthermore, it was one of the most memorable nights the industry has ever seen.
Josh Ross Named Entertainer of the Year
Josh Ross dominated the 2025 CCMA Awards. He claimed both Entertainer of the Year and Single of the Year in a remarkable double win. His hit Single Again earned him the Single of the Year honour. As a result, Ross cemented his place at the very top of Canadian country music. In addition, MacKenzie Porter added to her growing career by earning Female Artist of the Year.
Cameron Whitcomb’s Breakthrough Night
Cameron Whitcomb had a night to remember at the 2025 CCMA Awards. He took home the coveted Fans’ Choice Award presented by Bud Light. Furthermore, he claimed Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year presented by Birkenstock. Both wins in a single evening confirmed his status as one of the most exciting rising talents in the country. Meanwhile, the crowd response throughout the ceremony underlined just how much momentum he has built.
Further Winners on a Packed Night
Jade Eagleson claimed Male Artist of the Year. James Barker Band took home Group or Duo of the Year. In addition, Owen Riegling won the Ford F-150 Album of the Year for Bruce County (From The Beginning). However, the night was not just about the headline awards. Each category reflected the remarkable depth of talent across Canadian country music today.
Industry Gala and Hall of Fame Inductions
The evening before the main ceremony, the CCMA held the Music Industry Gala Dinner and Awards. At the Gala, the CCMA presented 36 industry honours to professionals across every corner of the industry. Furthermore, this year marked the 2025 Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductions of Lisa Brokop and Joe Wood. In addition, the CCMA presented the inaugural Francophone Artist of the Year Award. Salsa Barbès took home that first-ever honour. As a result, the two-night event celebrated Canadian country music in its full breadth.
Streamed Live Across Canada
Fans across the country could watch the 2025 CCMA Awards live on CTV.ca and the CTV app. In addition, the full show became available the following day on Crave.
